Debbie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has a (MSW) Masters Degree in Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago with a clinical/medical focus. She is also experienced in working with the geriatric population and completed a John Hartford Foundation Geriatric leadership fellowship.
Before she started her private practice she was a clinical social worker at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago where she worked with patients experiencing chronic illness and neurological conditions. She discovered that the psychotherapy part of the work was for her and started her own practice. Debbie works with a wide range of clients who may be experiencing:
Life transitions - marriage, divorce, death, parenthood, retirement, aging process
Prolonged anxiety - panic attacks
Depression or mood swings
Grief and loss
Living with a chronic illness
